Your love of Art

The grandest masterpieces have always begun with a line. A line can be the epicenter of the drawing, the painting, the poem, or the  design.

It can be the lifeblood to the river or the ray of sun beaming down on a green meadow.

It can uplift a melody, slay the wounded dragon, or make the heart skip a beat.

Have you ever stood in front of a painting by Monet and lacked the wisdom to understand its beauty?

What about heard “Claire de Lune” by Debussy and found yourself unmoved.

Art my friends is no longer reserved for the monarchy or the wealthy. It is available to all to see and hear. It is also one of the oldest forms of expression in existence. The most difficult duty for me has been attempting to convince colleagues or friends of the lifeblood in Art.

Ignorance is the killer of dreams, goals, aspirations, and life.

What benefits will I ever acquire from looking at paintings or listening to dead composers you wonder. I will tell you. Has there ever been a time in your life when you have met a person who has lived a much fuller life than yourself? A person who has told you a story of an adventure that has left you with your mouth wide open. That ability my friend is the power that an artist, or a composer possesses. They have the ability to express the beauty of life, love, death, yearning, betrayal, war, and creation. But like many we are too ignorant and busy to listen or see these things.

My journey to Art began when I heard “Four Seasons” by Vivaldi.

I never knew how much a melody could contain all my love for regality. I never felt like more of a Prince than after listening to Vivaldi. Later, my heart and soul were prisoners to the beautiful performance of Natasha Paremski as she played “Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1.”

I developed an appreciation for Art after I took an Art class.  For the first time I could see the emotions in a painting. I was awake to the sensations of pain, laughter, and love. But by far it is my love of Architecture that sometimes leaves me breathless. Art has enriched my life and it is a treasure that I will enjoy until I expire.

Allow Art into your life, the beauty will bloom and soon your life will be filled with the lifeblood of kings, queens, princes, conquerors, popes, emperors, lovers, and heroes.
