xl video: good gawd

(random Daft Punk video from Red Rocks, 7/31/2007)
Friend and fellow Daft Punk disciple Glenn recently shared a link to XL Video’s profile on Apple.com. Xl Video are the geniuses behind Daft’s recent “Alive 2007″ pyramid spectacular. Although the profile itself is rather dry and super-techie (probably not of interest to the non a/v-creative crowd) a quick click thru to their own website was astounding.
Their past list of clients is basically a who’s who of anyone doing cutting edge concerts in the last 5 years.
I can personally vouch for seeing their work at the following shows:
Chemical Brothers
Coldplay
Depeche Mode
Placebo
U2 Vertigo Tour
Although certainly compelling in their own way, after seeing XL’s mind-blowing contribution to the french robots’ global takeover, I’d say their resume can easily be reduced to one line going forward:
Daft Punk - Alive 2007 tour
I’ll be amazed if another production company ever exceeds what they did there. Ever.

Dear XL Video,
Install some shit in my bedroom.
