who the hell

July 9, 2008 by Cash

Is still using payphones?  I mean I see them around town, at bus stops, etc.  I used to think the answer was drug dealers, but most of them probably have iPhones and personal assistants at this point.

I mean seriously.  Can someone chime in here?

If you are traveling, and your cell’s dead, you might have no other option? Besides, where would Superman change if there were no phonebooths? (And, yes, I realise that there aren’t too many actual phonebooths left anymore. At least in AZ. Probably NEVER in AZ. Who would willingly enter a metal/glass ‘coffin’ in 110 and higher heat? Are there ANY pay phones in AZ? Oh no, you’ve given me earworms now!

Come on down a little deeper into Capitol Hill and I’ll show you why I cross the street when I see a pay phone.
