When They Catch You Ridin’ Dirty: Dealing With The Police

The American Civil Liberties Union has put together a great video, freely available on Google Video. It deals with what exactly your rights are when The Man has pulled you over, or is knocking at your front door due to the raging party you’re throwing inside.
The Dumb Little Man blog also has a post on dealing with cops and the assertion of your rights.
I sure wish I’d seen the ACLU video during my time at the University of Colorado, oft-ranked as the number 1 party school. It would have certainly saved me some grief on the nights I was having a little too much fun. 
I know someone with a Kitchen Aide Mixer… It’s real nice.
And make sure your dick doesn’t get caught in the wheel.
The cop’s advice piece here is AMAZING and should be read by everyone whose ever gotten behind the wheel of a car after an alcoholic beverage or 5.
The most enlightening piece talked about advice he gives his family if they’re arrested for a DUI:
“If you drink and drive and get arrested for DUI, do everything the officer says. Take all the tests, take the breathalyzer. On the first court date, meet the prosecutor. Tell him you want to represent yourself and that you’ll plead guilty TODAY in exchange for a rescission of the summary license suspension and a small (say $500) fine. The prosecutor gets to immediately clear a case from his workload, and you get to get on with your life with a hand slap”
