Ways to Increase Energy

Setting goals won’t do you much good if you don’t have the energy to follow through. Scott Young offers 10 ways to improve your energy.
My three favorite are:
- Eat Smaller Meals
- Exercise Regularly
- Stimulate Your Mind With Games
A personal tip I use is making time to recharge after work. I sit 8 hours in front of a computer followed by an hour in traffic. When I arrive home my energy is drained. If I eat dinner and laze about it can take hours, if ever, to regain my energy. However, if I spend 15 minutes decompressing (laying down, listening music, covering my eyes, and relaxing) I am full of energy again.
What are your tips to increase energy?

A tip I learned from an old friend while visiting him on a contracting gig in Las Vegas; pop a caffeine pill (no-doz, vivrin, whateva) with a glass of water the minute your alarm goes off.
Hit snooze, and by the time the alarm rings again, the caffeine has started to work through your system. Not the healthiest, sustainable energy, but hey, works wonders on a groggy morning.
Changing your venue can also increase your energy. The mind seems to associate the feelings of sluggishness and boredom to our workplace. So when the feelings hit, take a break go for a walk, go explore that hallway at the other side of your office and do something stimulating. Even visualizing you’re driving your Ferrari down the road can help motivate you.
