urban minx : alix edition
Introducing Alix, the first Urban Minx. Read her interview by clicking “Continuing Reading below”.
For our first edition of the Urban Minx, we chose Alix, a model currently living in Boulder, Colorado.
After the shoot I asked Alix a few questions.
1) I understand there’s quite a story behind how you got started in modeling. Tell me about it.
Well, I went to a rave with my (then) boyfriend. I went to the ladies room and bummed a smoke from one of the girls that was in there. She said, “Oh my God, you’re sooo beautiful. You have to meet my girl, Leah (of Heavenly Bodies fashion)!”
(Leah) made me walk for her, we exchanged numbers and about 3 weeks later I did my first fashion show! I really didn’t think anything would of come of it. It was a right time, right place sort of thing.
2) Judging by the looks of things, you probably receive a lot of attention when out at the club. What’s the strangest thing a guy’s done to get you to notice him?
What’s funny is most guys don’t approach me at all.
I think I make them nervous or intimidate them, which is so weird since I’m the easiest chick to talk to.
If i think really hard, the weirdest thing a guy has done has been when he asked me out to dinner with a group of friends. So here I am, thinking I’ll get to hang out with cool people. Well, when he came and picked me up his MOM AND DAD were in the car.
We went to dinner and his BOSS, his (Boss’s) wife, their two kids and another work aquaintence showed. I found myself in the middle of a date I never agreed to go on!!!!
3) When you’re dating a guy, how many dates does it take before you’re wearing a ‘matching set’ underneath?
I always wear a matching set. You never know..
4) What’s the best soundtrack for sex?
Enigma, Nina Simone, or complete silence (except for me and the person I’m with of course!)
5) Finish this sentence: “The craziest breakup of my life…”
Was one i didnt know i was dating!
6) Top or bottom?
I like to switch it up.
7) How do you feel about one night stands?
Super trashy! For me, I need a connection with someone in order for it to be good.
