   google for “bumpkey” very few locks are as safe as you think…

   I could be wrong, but I think this is totally fake.. much like many of the other “how-to” videos on metacafe.

   Bump keys, as goat mentioned, are 100% real, and 100% scary. Not only do they open the majority of key-based locks out there (and we’re talking *most*, not just the standard pin-and-tumbler ones), but it is done without the traditional scarring that is associated with normal lock picking, i.e., less “proof” that you were broken into. Think insurance. :/

   I agree, I think this is fake. It was actually busted on Myth Busters during Episode 13 which aired on August 15, 2007.

   Goat; I had no idea.. I read the wiki on Bump key. Terry, thanks for the link. At least I can stop giving the evil eye to people carrying tennis balls now.
