u2 recording new album

After the cataclysmically boring “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb”, my first reaction to hearing the news was “meh”. I suppose I should try to stay positive, Achtung Baby ranks as one of my favorite albums ever. Either way, the band is back in the studio with longtime production partners Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois.
We’re going to try and break new sonic ground and deliver a masterpiece,” Lanois told Billboard.com. “The sleeves are rolled up. Bono is all charged up with a lyrical angle.”
If that’s true, why use the same studio team? The world may never know.
Have a great weekend everyone.

A new album means a new tour which would be great since they ain’t getting any younger. Their last album as a whole was disappointing but those handful of good songs made the tour worth seeing. I hope this new album flows better and I can’t wait to see them live again.
I hope to read a review of U2 3D from you sometime!
Rock on and Rattle and Hum
Hey there Miss Jones
“A Man and a Woman” is one of the better u2 songs of their last three albums, and Vertigo was okay, but yes, overall HTDAAB blew. Their live shows are always brillant, although with the $200 face value direction tickets seem to be going for them, I’m not sure I’ll get out to see them.
Ahh to go back to the days of seeing them for the Joshua Tree tour (Nov 8th, Mc Nichols Arena, when 3 tracks from Rattle and Hum were recorded!). Ticket price? Around $30.
I’m excited to see U23D though, and hope to do so this week.
When are they coming on tour?
I am a HUGE U2 fan and HTDAAB is a great album period. The only song I don’t care for is ‘Vertigo’. In comparison to their entire library, it’s not my favorite. I would have to rank HTDAAB over Boy and October at least, even War. U2 are one of the few bands I belive who have made better albums over time and their songwriting has progressed. U2 certainly have great singles from the first 3 albums but they are not overall that great in comparison to the rest of their volumes.
