Top Healthy Foods

The mayo clinic has created a list of their top 10 healthiest foods.  How does a food find it’s way to the healthy list?  It must be vitamin rich, high in phytonutrients, reduce health risks, and readily available.  My favorites on the list are almonds, brocolli, and spinach.  Add one of these foods to your diet this week and you are on the road to healthier eating.

As an athlete I can’t live without including plenty of fruit and vegetables in my diet. I have completely abandoned the empty carbs that I once consumed like potato chips and doughnuts. Once you eat healthy and see the benefits you will never go back.
