top 10 urban cars

We at Urban Monarch are a happily car free bunch, preferring the parking / gas-buying / insurance-premium-paying free world of public transportation.  If I was ever to buy another car though, (while still living in the city), I could do a lot worse than consult a recent list at Cars.com

Some surprises?  Mini vans making the list.  In my opinion they are the male equivalent of flip flops on girls.  Completely unacceptable under any circumstances, let alone when thinking about parallel parking. 

On the other hand, I like the Miata but consider it a ‘girl car’. (Is there such a thing??)

The top ranking Mini Cooper is something I almost bought when it first came out.  At the time it seemed retro-mod cool.  Now, it has more of a ‘hipster upgrading from a vespa’ feel to me, but its small size certainly makes sense for navigating the concrete jungle.

My top choice?  The 2008 Land Rover LR2.  It’s probably decent in snow, and still looks somehow snobby.  Daddy like.
