Warning: if you’re not savvy to the whole ‘blogosphere’ concept and especially the MO of the key players in it, this post is gonna bore you to tears. For everyone else; this is some pretty funny biznass.
Lore Sjöberg over at Wired has a great article detailing ideal topics for becoming a ‘guest blogger’ on some of the world’s most popular blogs.
There are so many funny bits I feel like posting the whole article, but I’ll stick to a few examples:
Blogs and their ultimate perfect entry:
Slashdot: AMD, SCO patent MP3 over TCP/IP, sue ATI, EA. Microsoft probably responsible somehow.
Engadget: Samsung releases new cell phone/mp3 player/camera/web browser/GPS/game player/wireless hub. Now in gray!
Gawker: Paris Hilton does pretty much anything.
Cute Overload: A kitten licks a puppy while the puppy licks a bunny.
Fleshbot: Same as Cute Overload, only with coeds.
Do yourself a favor and read the whole thing, including the discussion of a blogger’s motives and its origin.

Holy crap that was funny. I’m glad that there’s some people out there willing to do the thinking. For the rest of us, it’s our job to make sure that the good material gets passed around as much as possible…. right Mom? Snopes?
Slashdot was right on the money. If only there was the obligitory Linux promotion and mentioning of welcoming new overlords in it. THEN it would be the perfect blog entry. That reminds me of a country-western song I once heard…
