The Best Way to Get a Hold of Me is Text Message
September 11, 2007 by Greg

I’ve been putting this off for a while, but this morning I finally changed my voicemail to inform callers that the best way to get a hold of me is text message. In line with checking my email only twice a day, now I’m stream lining my calls. If you’re going to leave a message, and it can easily be put in a text, do so, and I’ll probably get back to you sooner.
My Message
Hi. You’ve reached Greg Cerveny. Usually the best way to get a hold of me is text message or leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.
My good friend Zach has had a similar message ever since I’ve known him. I was surprised to see how effective it was when a job he was applying for sent him a text message to come in for an interview.

I’m the same way — but I use SpinVox to convert all VMs to text. It’s like paradise.
Greg; amen to text being the holy grail of communication, even putting email in its place due to its inherent brevity and portable nature.
Scott; I’ll have to check that out.. sounds kind of freaky ‘privacy issues’ wise but worth a look.
