The Best Vodka In The World

The nectar of the gods is finally available..  at a sophisticated liquor store near you.

Hangar One Vodka is custom crafted by hand in a tiny distillery (and former airplane hangar, hence the name) near San Francisco.

Their line of 5 vodkas includes a very high quality ’straight’ (with hints of grape, which is its base) vodka, but most importantly four of the most delicious flavored vodkas ever to tantalize your tastebuds.

Unlike the current fad of artificially flavoring vodkas used by everyone from Absolut to Stoli, Hangar One infuses their vodka with real flavor.

And what flavors they are.

From the somewhat bitter Fraser River Raspberry, which can only be produced once a year when the Meeker raspberries (from upper Washington state) are freshly harvested to my personal favorite, the Hangar One Kaffir Lime, which is infused with Indonesian limes (and mixes to perfection with club soda), Hangar’s flavors are a feast for the senses, and need to be smelled and tasted to be believed.

Hangar One Lime + soda is quite possibly the best vodka drink ever.

Agreed — it’s like a sublime Sprite. Not too sweet nor overpowering citrus flavor. Mmm, I’m feeling thirsty now.

My tastebuds never tasted a better drink. Cashie thank you for introducing me to Hangar One.

I am thinking that you are right about Hanger! It’s like being kissed by a beautiful woman and then getting kicked in the sack by her brotherl… It just kinda takes your breath away.

Dear all, Hangar One sounds cool but when it goes for world dominance - as 42 Below seems to have done quite well - don’t forget to change the name of the Kaffir Lime version for South Africa. It won’t sell too well with the K word (officially hate speech here) in its name… Interestingly, I suspect the word Kaffir comes from Indonesia originally, and, knowing how distantly linked to human rights Inonesia is, maybe it was debatable even then. Surely someone googled the word before they named the thing??
Enough - hope it doesn’t make the stuff taste bitter…

So, I know everyone has their own preference and taste and all, but I have to say, the best vodka I’ve ever had is Tito’s Handmade. It’s from Texas, 6x distilled and man oh man does it taste good. The way I test my vodka is by doing a shot and then mixing with Red Bull. This stuff is smooth. Everyone I’ve told about it loves it. Like I said, to each his (or her) own, but everyone should give Tito’s a try.

It doesn’t get any better than any of the Hangar One flavors, straight up on the rocks. Use only two cubes if you have chilled it already. My favorite is the lime, but any of them are great.

I love Hanger One as well, but it comes off as a tad sweet at times, though yes the Kaffir Lime is the one I like the best as well. My new favorite flavored vodkas are from a little Oregon distillery called Sub Rosa Spirits. Their Tarragon vodka is sublime while the Saffron vodka grabs your tongue and taste buds with an almost curry like complexity. Both are 90 proof and quite excellent.
