My new favorite flavored vodkas are from a little Oregon distillery called Sub Rosa Spirits. Their Tarragon vodka is sublime while the Saffron vodka grabs your tongue and taste buds with an almost curry like complexity. Both are 90 proof and quite excellent. I love Hanger One as well, but it comes off as a tad sweet at times, though yes the Kaffir Lime is the one I like the best as well. It's from Texas, 6x distilled and man oh man does it taste good. The way I test my vodka is by doing a shot and then mixing with Red Bull. This stuff is smooth. Everyone I've told about it loves it. Like I said, to each his (or her) own, but everyone should give Tito's a try. Interestingly, I suspect the word Kaffir comes from Indonesia originally, and, knowing how distantly linked to human rights Inonesia is, maybe it was debatable even then. Surely someone googled the word before they named the thing?? Enough - hope it doesn't make the stuff taste bitter...
