Talking, obviously, is a cornerstone of socializing. However, simply keeping your mouth open more can make a big difference in people’s perception of you. Lance Mason, seduction-svengali and founder of Pick Up 101 has an interesting DVD product out called “Physical Confidence” that addresses this issue.
In it he explains the complex interaction between physiology and psychology when it comes to our own sense of self-confidence, and subsequently, the image we project to others.
The simplest suggestion?
Unlock your jaw. The only time your lips should be together is when you’re chewing or kissing. Having a ‘loose’ jaw is sign of being relaxed, which conveys confidence subconsciously.
The main benefit I’ve noticed while practicing this technique is how much easier it is to flash a full, genuine smile from this relaxed state.
When my lips are pursed together, going into a smile not only FEELS unnatural, it looks phoney too.
Try it a few times in the mirror to see what you’ve been missing. Then try it for the rest of your life any time you’re out in public.

Thank you. It would have been helpful to know this just one day earlier though.
See i had seen a girl in passing here on campas. I held the door open for her and see flashed an adorable smile. It just so happened that today i saw her again in the line for lunch. I got the same smile from her so i was ready to talk only there was a large person between us. I felt that it was impossible to bridge the gap between us. I think my anxiousness to talk to her was percieved negatively and we made no more eye contact. If only i knew how to look more comfortable at the time.
Don’t worry Neflight. I’m sure you’ll have plenty of chances to see her again and when you do, you’ll be ready.
It really helps! when I keep my mouth a litte bit open, laughing feels much better.
Also, I was wondering where you got the picture
