Dear Seow and Richard,
I am writing you to tell you how much I enjoyed the tour to Thailand in September of ‘07. I found myself divorced after 25 years with the same woman of which we were married for 19. I thought I would be ok single but found myself wanting companonship and romance in my life again. I tried dating women where I lived but either there was no chemistry or they were not appealing, had too much baggage or were much older than myself. When I chatted with you, I was comfortable with going with you to Thailand but at the same time I was a little skeptical about meeting ‘the woman of my dreams.’ You told me that I would meet at least 40 different ladies by the time the tour was over. You also told me that I was in for a treat because I had never experienced Thai ladies or the Thai culture. I thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion that I was due for a vacation, wanted to see the far east so why not. I flew from Boston to LA where we all met, then we all flew Eva air to Taiwan and after a short layover we flew to Bangkok. I must say Eva Air was exceptional. I have never flown on a better air line. The flight attendants were courteous and very helpful. The evergreen section was comfortable and worth the extra money.
When we got to Bangkok we checked into the hotel and showered. You said we would meet in the restaurant in as few hours and not to be late. I must add that the hotel was nice and in the center of the action. When I arrived at the hotel restaurant I was amazed to see you sitting with some ladies already. I joined you and the other guys and was introduced to several of the ladies. I hit it off with a few and we chatted for a while and before I knew it I had a few dates lined up. I dated several of the ladies over the next few days and got to see many interesting places including the palace and budist temple, the market and the infamous Kason Steet. Within three days I had met forty two ladies and there was two of them that I really liked and wanted to get to know better. You told me to get their numbers and to finish the tour because there would probably be someone that I liked better in either Udon Thani or Khan Kean. I took your advice and went to Udon Thani where the accomodations were even better than Bangkok. While in Udon Thani I met another bunch of nice ladies. One of the ladies was named Aom. She was 30 years old, always smiling, friendly and spoke very good english. We hit it off well and spent the rest of the time I was in Udon Thani together. You again said that Khan Kean was next and to stay focused but I told you that I really liked Aom and I wanted to spend more time with her. You told me that she liked me and you thought we were good together. You said if I liked her that much I should ask her if she wanted to accompany me to Khan Kean. She agreed and called her boss to see if she could get time off. She did and she drove me and another couple to Khan Kean’and we had a great time. The hotel was the best of the tour and we had great meals did many things and i really got to know Aom. When you left for the USA I stayed in Thailand for another five days and took Aom to Samui Island where we had another great time. I asked Aom to marry me and she said yes. Seow has processed our paperwork to get Aom to the states and while we are waiting for the process I am planning another trip to see her in February. We talk every day and are both excited that we found each other. Thanks again Richard and Seow for bringing our two souls together.

The 5 men on our particular tour who chose to marry are all good guys who deserve a lifetime of happiness with the right life mate. We all can speak of a number of bad experiences with American women who take advantage of nice guys, women who have lost the true meaning of relationships and the values and qualities I describe above. As American men, we grew tired of the games many American women play, so we went to Thailand to find mates who know what is truly important in life, love and marriage. And, guess what? We all actually found very kind, beautiful, intelligent and generous mates, thanks to Richard and Seow of Thailand Romance Tours.

So I say to Peter, #3 commenter above, you entitled to your cautions and your opinions, but you are also dead wrong in your ill assumptions and ill statements. If you are man enough to marry a good woman and be true and faithful and loving to her the rest of your life, and if you are man enough to handle a truly beautiful, intelligent Thai woman with a heart of gold, contact Richard and Seow. One of my friends, who owns a bicycle shop on Marthas Vineyard, a former tour de France competitor met his wife on international match.com. She was Chinese. So, I went on international match.com and also met a lovely Chinese woman who I corresponded and with whom I had nice conversations.

I just couldn’t get up the nerve to travel so far to meet her. What if it didn’t work out? You kind of know the chemistry thing right away when you meet face to face. If it isn’t there, now what.

Now I’m not a bad looking guy and I do okay with woman here in the US. But, I’m almost 50, and my market seems to be woman between 38 and 45 who often have children, and usually have been hurt in relationships in the past, whether divorced or not, and their hearts just aren’t open enough to let me in, in the way I’d like to get in. And they have a lot of expectations about what they want in a relationship.

Well, what if you were in my shoes. I’m okay financially. I own my own house, and a vacation house. I feel ready to get married, and I’d like to have a kid. I dated a 33 year old dentist, who wanted me to massage her all the time, tired shoulder’s holding that drill all day, and felt that if we had a child, I ought to stay home and raise it, because she made more money than I did. Her view was “I’m young, I’m pretty, well educated, and well traveled. You have a catch. So, what are you going to do for me? How are you going to meet my needs? Could I cook?” She’d like to have food on the table when she got home from work. I didn’t want to be a wife.

So, somehow or other, I found out about Richard and Seow, and Thailand Romance Tours. This is for losers, I thought. You know fat guys, bald guys, wierd guys, old, gray haired guys, socially inept guys. Not a Harvard educated, blond hair, blue eyed guy, who can still compete in triathalons, and has decent social skills. Just for kicks, I started talking to the guy. After a while, and after talking to a few of the guys who found wives through him, I decided he was a decent, honorable, caring man, who wanted to help men find woman with open hearts, who would love them unconditionally and with a passion that would make most grown men cry.

I don’t do anything without research, so I drove Richard crazy. I want to talk to five men who went on your trip. I want to talk to several Thai women who married these men. I want to talk to a man who failed, and came home disappointed. I called them all. One Thai women Isis, told me she knew her husband loves her. How do you know I asked. Sometimes he comes home, and just holds me, and a few times, he started to cry and told me how happy I’ve made him, and how wonderful his life is now. Are you happy I asked. Yes, she said. I love it here in Colorado. The only thing I don’t like is the winters. Now she is 25 and her husband is 50. All I know is she sincerely loves her husband.

I asked Isis, To find a nice woman, what should I do on Richard’s trip? “Don’t try to sleep with the women. The men who do that are more likely to fail. Just talk to them, share your life with them, show them photos of your family. Wait until you have chemisty with someone. You will know it and she will know it. There are a lot of beautiful women. Do not pick your mate for her looks. Go with chemistry. Look into her heart.
Do not try to impress them by showing them photos of your homes, talking about the money you make or have, unless you want to attract the wrong person. Do not spend lots of money on them while you are out there to impress them. Take them out to dinner, and don’t let them pay for anything. You make 20 times what they do. But they will not choose you, or be impressed with you for trying to be a big shot.

So I went on the trip. I met Paa, and could have pursued a relationship with her. Hey, I can’t bring home a 19 year old, and take the heat I’d get from my cousins and relatives, and I wanted someone in the 30ish range, that could speak some English and had some education.

The woman I met were for the most part very sincere. They simply want a good man with a good heart. In Thailand, a lot of men drink alcohol to excess, and are not faithful to their girlfriends and wives. Thai women have learned from their friends that Western men are likely to be faithful to them, to treat them well, and be good husbands and fathers. And lets face it, if you are 45 or so, and your wife is 23 years old, and treats you like gold. Why on earth would you not want to make her happy as well.

I met a nice woman. She was far from the prettiest or youngest women I could have pursued. She is 34, speaks decent English, and has a masters degree in dance. We had chemistry. She showed me a degree of kindness and civility that almost brought me to tears. We are still corresponding and talking on the phone almost every day. I take things slowly, so I have not taken action to bring her here yet. I want to be sure.

In the course of the trip I met about 90 women. Only about 15% spoke English. Paa didn’t speak English. Chemistry trumps language, and is a powerful motivator to hasten learning English. There were a few women I wanted to meet that I could not meet. Richard tried his best. Three other men went on the trip with me. One is 55 and is going to marry a 31 year old women who is a real sweetheart. He sent the paperwork in to bring her here the day we got back. Another man found a woman he has great chemistry with, who is less attractive than some of his other options, and doesn’t speak any English yet. When they are together, it’s obvious they should stay together. We’ll see.

This is no phony thing. Richard and his wife are honorable caring people. Any man over 45 who wants a wife and family, and goes on the trip will find sincere, caring, honorable woman who are kind, decent. loving people. I spoke to five men, who went on the trip and got married. I went because they bordered on being deliriously happy with their wives and their lives. So could you.
