As a past-subscriber of future music and computer music, I’m excited when any new musical gear comes out. However, this new product from yamaha moves beyond my musical gear whoredom into a mass appealing blinking sensation. Designed by electronic media artist Toshio Iwai, this matrix style musical instrument feels like the theremin of the 21st century.

I want one. Reminds me of something they’d play in one of the ‘club’ scenes in Buck Rodgers.. as the people dance around with their lit up hula hoops.
