Caitlin Flanagan, of the Atlantic Monthly, explores the topic of the now apparantly non-taboo subject of oral sex among teenagers. From Judy Blume novels through current media she looks to answer the question of why young girls are giving more blow jobs.
Somehow these girls have developed the indifferent attitude toward performing oral sex that one would associate with bitter, long-married women or streetwalkers. But they think of themselves as normal teenagers, version 2005.
