SXSW Band Downloads

South by Southwest, a huge music event thrown in Austin, is coming up in just two weeks. For those not in the know, this show is one of the biggest events for both musicians and music lovers alike. This year they are stepping it up with free downloads of the showcase bands.
The event itself is described as:
The SXSW MUSIC AND MEDIA CONFERENCE showcases hundreds of musical acts from around the globe on over fifty stages in downtown Austin. By day, conference registrants do business in the SXSW Trade Show in the Austin Convention Center and partake of a full agenda of informative, provocative panel discussions featuring hundreds of speakers of international stature. SXSW Music 2007 will take place March 14 - 18, 2007.

I started the Torrent this morning. It appears to be like hundreds of tracks!
Almost 750 tracks to be precise, and like 3Gb worth. So so much utter SHIT. It’ll take me a month to filter out the handful of tracks worth keeping. Oh well, another avenue to discover new music..
