I hate to rain on the parade. But, there has to be a level of trust with your partner. For example: What if we are no longer dating. What will you do with the tapes?

If you’re going to trust your partner not to lie about unprotected sex outside of the relationship, to disclose any dormant stds, and to actually be taking their birth control, I think trusting them with a sex tape isn’t a much bigger deal.
If the concern is what happens to the material after dating, then that should be discussed up front. You can decide to keep it, destroy it, or to share it with whoever you wish. It’s really a personal question for each couple to answer individually.
