Send Your Dog to Prison

While carefully plotting my trip to New Orleans, one of the biggest issues has been my travel companion’s dog.  Not sure what do to with a dog for 6 weeks, we’ve investigated rental cars, pet friendly rental properties, dog boarders, and now prison.  In Colorado there is an animal rescue program that utilizes inmates as dog trainers.  Conveniently, they also offer boarding.

Another unique aspect of the PTKCP is that we offer boarding-in training to private dog owners. Boarding-in training lasts a minimum of one month. The monthly boarding-in fee is $400 for 4 weeks. If you decide you want the dog to stay longer, the cost would then be $50 per week after the first four weeks. We accept most breeds on a first come, first served basis. We have a short waiting list at times.
