safely stretching before a workout

As a martial arts teacher, I have made stretching a focal point for the last 17 years of my life. Stretching can never be stressed enough when new students come in, whether they are 5 years old or 50.

Stretching is for everyone no matter what sport you play, weekend activity you love, or even just sitting at a desk all day for work.

The more flexible you get the easier you will find it is to bend down and tie your shoes, recover from a hard workout, and even walk through life more fluidly and confidently.

If you’d like to know more I would recommend the book “Stretching Scientifically”, by Tom Kurz.

He is the most knowledgable man in his field when it comes to the science of stretching.
