redken outplay texture putty review

Redken recently sent along a puck of their new “Outplay Texture Putty” for us to review.

They describe it as:

A new wax putty formula that creates a piecey style and chunky, oversized seperation with a matte finish.  Outplay texture putty adds immediate grab and traction, defined texture, and a strong flexible hold.

Using it over the last week, I give it a thumbs up.  It’s definitely more pliable and easier to work with than American Crew’s Fiber (which I’ve used in the past) and though not quite as strong, still handled my daily spiking nicely.  It’s also completely fragrance free, which is usually a plus where hair products are concerned. 

Ingredients include mineral salts to provide grab and texture, and proteins to increase strength.
