how to be romantic : real world romance

As part of an ongoing series aimed at bringing a bit of reduced effort romance into your lives, I’ll start by talking about flower.
No, that wasn’t a typo.
We’re not talking about flower(s), as in a dozen red ‘oh please please please I hope this is gonna get me laid and not be too entirely obvious and needy’ (believe me, it is) amateur hour roses.
No, we’re talking about flower.
As in a single stem.
In a bud vase.
On your dining room table.
What type of flower? Her favorite, of course. A bit of information you should try to garner as discreetly as possible, early on in the ‘just met/getting to know you’ phase.
Believe me, when she walks into your place for the first time, she’ll notice her flora of choice adorning the table. Your attention to detail in remembering her pick won’t be overlooked either.
In a sleek vase, beautifully placed, it conveys a message; simple, sophisticated, elegant.
Three traits she’ll likely attach to the man who put it there as well.
Follow up course? That same bud vase on a breakfast in bed tray the next morning.
If you’re lucky.
