Project: Get Cash Online

Yo peeps. Here’s the deal. Cash’s computer broke a few months ago and he has been saving for a new one. Let’s just say that due to some unforseen circumstances this is going to be significantly delayed and he will no longer have regular access to a computer.
Here are a few ideas I’ve come up with to get him back online:
- Contact computer manufacturers and beg for a computer.
- Contact potential sponsors and beg for a computer.
- Reach out to the readers, start a paypal tip jar, and make cash write love notes in return.
- Screw cash, he can go visit the library and sign up for 30 minute internet sessions
Anyone have any other ideas? Please leave a comment or email me.

if he can muddle by on a winders / ubuntu box for a while, I have some parts I can contribute like a never been used mobo for a p4 cpu, or a just taken out of service mobo with a duron cpu on it. (oooo Vintage IPM Radio studio gear!)

I think anything with a network card, a web browser, and a word processor would be fine, linux, windows, or otherwise.
While we’re both IT guys, it’s been a while since either of us put anything together, so the closer to a complete system the better.
ill take inventory when i get home tonight and pick out the less dusty stuff and pack it up to ship. email me your preferred snailmail address. (grperye3 at googlemail). i dont have any cases / psu’s though, so maybe you can get enough in the tip jar to grab an el cheapo DIY kit from the local nerd mart.
