I'm so glad I found this website!! The GAS IS HORRIBLE! It goes on and on and on. I'm at work and keep having to go to the restroom repeatedly to get rid of this massive amount of gas. Thankfully it is odorless. I will NEVER eat one of these again! It took me quite a few bars before I figured out what the problem was.

omg, you guys made me laugh so hard i cried... We have a big all day sales training coming up, should be about 30 people in a small room for 7 hours, so I definitely will be buying several boxes of these and leaving them in the breakroom for snacks the day of the meeting. The only problem is, I am doing a presentation and I am not sure if I want to endure it just to get some good laughs... I need your advice... What flavor would do the most ozone damage?

It's just not fair that these things can taste so good yet make me feel so bad! When I first started eating these, I figured that my body just had to get used to all the fiber. But, 3 weeks later the cramping, bloating and gas has only gotten worse. I can eat beans, veggies, and granola no problem, and I drink plenty of water everyday, but my body just will not tolerate the fiber one bars. Now I eat a weight watchers yogurt and loose granola with dried fruit and nuts in the morning (which adds up to about 8-9 grams of fiber too) and I feel much better.

My friend from back home first told me about the Fiber One bars. She calls them "Fart One Bars". I now know why. I love them. All I get is really bad gas (it's funny). No gas pains or stomach aches. So I guess I can live with that. What I like the most about these bars is that I can use them to rude out my husband. I will eat one in the afternoon and it will kick in about bedtime. He can't sleep when I have gas, so he's up all night worried that the next fart will stink. The thing is this is the only time my gas doesn't stink. My husband to this day doens't know that it's the Fiber One bars that are giving me this gas.

So thank you Fiber One makers this is the best thing since the whoopie cushion!

I have been eating these delicious bars for about a week...about one bar a day. I have had the worst gas ever, I cleared a whole aisle in Target. I just thought I had an unsettled stomach, but today I had the cramps too. They were so bad that I had to lay down for several hours....and I mean it really really hurt. I finally pulled the box out the closet today after my stomach eased up and read the box to find it says it could cause minor GI upset....so the next thing to do was to of course google it for more info and I am glad to know I can get rid of the pain and gas by getting rid of those bars.

Oh thank god for this site! I agree that some people maybe eating too may of these a day because I was that person at first. I was camping and bought them for the first time. I think I had like 3-4 that first day and thought I was going to die! I will be honest here I didn't really read the box and see just how much fiber was in them. I have Diverticulosis and cannot have nuts (as well as about a million other thing) and I do need more fiber in my diet so I saw these there were no nuts (that is soooooooo rare in bars like this) in some of them so I go them. The gas was AWFUL!!!! They were soooooo yummy though! Then I saw how much fiber was in them and cut back to 1 a day. The gas is still bad, I mean really bad and with my condition it hurts like heck! But I am trying to drink tons of water with them and hopeing that my system will get used to the fiber as time goes on. They are such a great addition to my diet that I hate to think I have to go back to my more expensive, less fiber, fiber bars!

OMG - - thank goodness for this site. I really was beginning to think there was something wrong with me. I know these posts really all sound the same. I think we are all just relieved (no pun intended) yet disappointed that these tasty bars are the source of something so foul. BTW - - there is def something wrong - - I don't think all these people are just having a reaction to ingesting fiber; there is something more - - I like most others found this site via a google search for "Fiber One Flatulence"; causing me to stumble upon hundreds of posts indicating the same issues.

I have for years now eaten at least 3 servings of all bran cereal a day. It is not a matter of not enough water. There is def. something "special" about these babies. Has anyone tried the new fruit flavors? Delish. . . . . . oh but the fumes that will soon emanate.

I have never smelled anything so bad. I have a mastiff and there have been times I thought I was going to puke when she has gas, but this is worse. I have been choking myself out. I'm just hoping that maybe one positive that may come out of this is that maybe some of the gas is a result of things stirring about - - you know - - like old stuff that really needs to get a good cleaning. I have literally been reading all of these posts - - ready to pee myself. Not good to laugh when the gas is this bad. No really so much cramping - - - just the SMELL!!!!!!
