poll: best place to meet women

Denver’s nightlife has come a long way in the last five years with the proliferation of trendy uber-lounges and clubs opening on a seemingly weekly basis. Although these haunts provide ‘target rich’ environments in which to practice our socializing skills, they all share one common trait that proves as annoying as it is problematic for meeting girls; thunderous sound systems that seem to be cranked to a minimum of ‘11′ as of 10PM every night.
Contrast this to the upscale, yet low key hotel bars overflowing with lovely ladies in places like Hollywood (i.e. The Standard - one of Style and Mystery’s favorite haunts, pictured above) and NYC (Gansevoort, a regular stop for Manhattan based workshops) and I recognize one thing the mile high city is sorely lacking.
Thankfully, with both a Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton on the horizon, my wish may be granted sooner than later.

def. have to go with the private event. At such a thing, it’s easier to work off a common connection, on top of that, you’ve potentially got some people around who also know her and can tell you to cut and run if there are potential crazy issues that might not be evident initially. also, another good thing, depending on the area, and how popular it is meetup.com or craig’s list events might be another good place to try.
What kind of craigslist / meetup events?
wine groups, singles groups, dancing groups, activity groups, whatever would be a good connection, plus ya get out and maybe learn something new, or get a new hobby. multitaskin
Ahh, not bad. I’ve only been to computer related meetup events, which btw, not a good place to meet women.

Maybe this is just me and I’m a different girl, but I’ve never had any success meeting guys in bars. There’s just something about the whole bar atmosphere that I just couldn’t picture myself getting serious about anyone I meet there. I’m the type of girl that likes the random meeting of someone at work, at the gym, or even a coffee shop. I may even be receptive at a house party/private event. Just not the bars. Maybe it’s just me…
