Open Forum Fridays: Eating After Drinking

Ater I get a few drinks in me, the hunger kicks in.  Even if I ate just hours before, around 2 am I’ve been known to do to a little not-so-light snacking.

What are you eating after drinking?

I have a few things that I find particularly tasty:

  • Pizza, but of course
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes, so quick, delicious, and made to heal
  • Burritos sold on most street corners, my new obsession

Denver Diner! Although, I’ve had to cut back…I’m watching my figure.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned: TWO double cheeseburgers from Mc D’s.

    Truly shameful. Shamefully delicious.

Wow, the Garbage Plate would be soooooo good after a night of imbibing. I wonder if there’s a place in Denver dishing that up…

    Oh. My. GOD.

That is seriously the second coming of drunk food. Dammit, my mouth is watering.

    Well done goat.

I’d have to go with a BLT, courtesy of California Chicken in Iwakuni, Japan. Not the greatest while sober, but when you’re walking . . . actually . . . it’s more like stumbling, back home from a long and fun night of drinking, four of them BLT’s hit the drunken hunger spot.

I especially like buffalo wings with spicy bar-b-que sauce and a side of ranch. And the beauty of this item is that it’s almost just as good when, on those rare occassions, you’re drunk.

I do not reccomend, however, Denny’s. Had a bad experience there a couple weeks ago. Enough said.

There’s nothing like a deeeeelicious gyro from the stand on the Southeast corner of Mountain and College Ave in FTC.
If only I could remember what they tasted like after I’ve sobered.
