Currently, I’m engaged in a very active search for a new job.
Having been out of the ‘game’ for several years, I’ve had to come to terms with some changes in strategy that are necessary to improve my chances.
The Cincinnati Post has a short, to the point article about ways of maximizing your chances in the Monsters and Dice of this world.
Two tips;
- Be sure your resume includes variations of terminology associated with your qualifications. The example they gave was including “SOX” in addition to the more formal Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Be sure you’re signing in and updating your resume every few weeks. Many recruiters filter on resumes updated within the last month.
