old magazines: best drink for sushi

September 9, 2008 by Cash

If there’s one thing I’ve been craving lately, it’s sushi.  (Hapa happy hour anyone?)  According to a clipping I found in a well aged Maxim bound for the trash; sake may not be the best pairing;

Serious sushi connoisseurs often argue that sushi with sake is rice overload (they suggest you save your rice wine for sashimi).  Green tea is the top non alcoholic option.

Luckily, us tippler’s aren’t without another option - the Japanese usually go with beer or sake.  Nothing like a tall Kirin to wash down all that delicious protein.

Every so often Cash will dig up something from his massive pile of old magazines in a feature he calls, wait for it.. ‘old magazines’.
