new jessica alba movie announced
February 6, 2007 by Cash

While the news of Jessica Alba appearing in anything outside of the obituaries is typically music to my ears, finding out she’s set to star with Tom “Car Crash of a publicity disaster” Cruise is a bit unsettling.
For one thing, they’re set to star in a remake of “The Eye”, a Hong Kong horror flick I had the misfortune of watching in the theatre (albeit the best theatre in Denver, the historical Mayan) when it was originally released.
With the exception of the classroom scene, which was mildly shocking, it left me bored and clutching my quickly emptied flask praying for a miracle refill halfway through.
Hong Kong horror’s been setting the standard lately (The Ring, one of my favorite spook fests was based on HK’s “Ringu”) but a hollywood remake of The Eye is a disappointment waiting to happen.
Alba will be playing a girl recovering from blindness whose cornea transplants allow her to see ghosts. I can only hope Tom Cruise is one of them, and disappears into the night quickly.
Films in Albuquerque, home of the best weekend getaway in the history of living in Denver.

i heart tom cruise. crazy people are more accessible.
Okay, it’s about time this rumour was put to rest. Jessica Alba and Tom Cruise are NOT, repeat NOT, appearing in the same movie. Jessica IS starring in a remake of “The Eye,” but Mr. Holmes isn’t appearing in it - his company Cruise/Wagner Productions IS producing it with Lionsgate, however.
Damn you lying Canadian E!
Sans The Jesus Of Scientology? Great!
Still being a remake of The Eye? Ungreat!
