macgyver cocktails: mc kahlua and cream

Oh the irony.
After railing against fatties just yesterday in my post on buffet banishment, I bring you a cocktail that’s as decadent as it is delicious. Last night, walking home from a friend’s house where drinking was the cause AND effect of an evening’s worth of deep conversation, I realized I was in no mood to sober up. Pondering my at home options sent a shudder through me. A couple of bottles of white wine, assorted aging liqueurs and.. wait a minute; a flask filled with kahlua (don’t ask).
Being after 10PM, my choices for procuring a suitable mixer were looking slim. Just then, like a mirage on the 16th street mall I saw them: the golden arches of Mc Donalds. Inspiration had struck.
Mc Kahlua and Cream
4 oz Kahlua
1 small vanilla milk shake
Drink the shake down about an inch, add the Kahlua, mix.
Voila. The perfect nightcap. Or morning kick start. Your choice.
