Jimi Wallet = Awesome
April 17, 2008 by Greg

People always stop by urban monarch, making contact and leaving comments when we least expect it. I’ve been meaning to email Mike of Jimi wallet to get a couple of his wallets for us to review. So, here is my experiment. I’m just going to put up this post and see if the law of attraction (and technorati) attracts him.
Dear Mike,
Cash and I are both in sore need of new Jimi wallets. Mine, having lost both its top and a small chunk out of the side is in a sad state. Cash, always jealous of my sweet jimi wallet that holds just enough goods and is transparent enough for my bus pass to show through, is pining for one of his own. How about you send us two? Please?

mike from jimi = awesome. don’t make me a liar mike
I had a Jimi Wallet for a long time, and it was much better than anything i’d had before it on the quest for further minimalism. However after I time I started looking to go even more minimal, and ended up finding a great solution.
Give a look at the Duckbill Money Clip (http://duckbilldesign.com/). I don’t need to say much about it, cause there’s not much to it, but I’ve loved mine. If you’re the money clip type you can’t buy anything better, but if I went back to a wallet it’d hand’s down be the Jimi. Good luck, and Mike, be good to these guys!
I too had a Jimi for a while. To appeal to the extreme minimalist, I only carried the removable money clip.
Recently, I’ve happened upon the All-Ett. Check it:

Oh So Slim
big fan of the Dopp “Regatta 88 Series Front Getaway Pocket”. i love the classic stylings of the leather, oldish classic look, yet the right amount of minimalism that i like.
