introduction to alexander technique
April 5, 2007 by Cash

In his bestselling book “The Game“, author Neil Strauss talks about many methods of improving your life that lend themselves to being more attractive to women. These range from hitting the gym and getting contacts / lasik surgery to improving your wardrobe and even taking improvisational comedy classes to improve your wit and conversational skills.
One suggestion that many people seem to overlook is the importance of good posture and carrying yourself confidently. The “Alexander technique” is a discipline often used by actors and politicians to move more elegantly. In addition to the aesthetic improvements, it also reduces muscle fatigue and helps you keep your spine better aligned to reduce the chance of injury, excellent benefits in their own right.
To truly learn Alexander Technique, one on one coaching with an expert is suggested. This is not an inexpensive proposition (they suggest 20-30 sessions, prices average $50-75 each) but worth considering.
For now, have a look at Julia Caulder’s easy to follow introduction, which includes an ‘exercise’ you can try.
