Grooming, One step at a time

Morning rituals are easy to create. There are certain tasks that need be done on a regular basis. Everyday I shower, brush my teeth, floss, put on deodorant and more. These actions have naturally become my morning ritual. It’s easy to get these things done because they have to be accomplished. What is harder to maintain are the actions that don’t require daily action.
Here are a few examples of grooming behaviors that do not need to occur daily.
- Beard Trimming
- Head Shaving
- Manscaping
- Finger and Toenail Clipping
- Exfoliating
There is a simple way to keep on top of these non-daily items. Do just one a day. As you are getting ready in the morning, in addition to your usual morning ritual, clip your fingernails or trim your beard. This removes the daunting task of doing this all at once and it keeps you constantly looking your best.

Good suggestion Greg. I’d recommend exfoliating every other day however, rather than every 5th or 6th or whatever.
My exfoliating product recommends twice a week. I figure that my razor has enough exfoliating properties on it’s own that I wouldn’t have use excessive amounts of my $15/tube facial product :(.
Great point about the razor Jess. The only problem there is it doesn’t take care of my forehead and nose, which tends to be where I need to most help, exfoliation wise
actually, you can exfoliate and clean as much as you want (I do both everyday, exfoliate in the morning and clean in the evening), as long as you hydrate; this is the key to a great looking skin!
