great american beer festival preview
October 4, 2007 by Cash
Beer drinkers of the world; unite and take over. From October 11-13th, Denver hosts what can only be called a toastworthy celebration of all that is foamy and delicious. The Great American Beer Festival. 408 Breweries. 1884 Beers. Unlimited samples. Oh yes.
What is it exactly?
According to the Guinness Book of World Records®, there is no other place on earth where a beer aficionado can find more beers on tap. The Great American Beer Festival is the American brewing industry’s top public tasting and competition. Tasting sessions will offer attendees the opportunity to tour America’s brewing landscape—one ounce at a time—by sampling more than 1,600 different beers from 380 of the nation’s finest breweries. By gathering practically every type of beer from all regions of the country under one roof and arranging them geographically on the festival floor, the GABF allows visitors to taste the largest number and the widest variety of the hand-crafted products of the American beer industry.

Beer Fest!
What about cash’s make your own beer fest….
haha nice! The World Beer Festival in Durham, NC is this weekend. Tickets always sell out within a couple of weeks. We have a Cask Ale tent this year with barrel aged beer, cask conditioned beer and vintage beer.
If you find beer that is cask conditioned, try it! You won’t be disappointed.
Oh my gawd Alexander- Cask ale is my absolute favorite. There is a place here called Pint’s pub that in addition to offering the world’s largest selection of Scotch outside of Scotland also brews cask ales in house.
Anyone visiting Denver should try their Alchemest’s Ale. Oh man my mouth is watering. Sounds like that World Beer Fest will be a blast.
Greg- Yes, the Cash Beer Fest: 33 different beers, all brought to my place by my generous friends for a night of drinking and carousing.. Pass it on.
