I know how it goes.  You’ve got a lot more important things to do with your time than workout; there’s your quest for jedi superiority on star wars knights of the old republic, your fantasty football league, and let’s not forget this week’s update on bangbus.com.

Still, you’d like to shed a few pounds so you can fit into your ‘competition’ sweat pants again.  Well sir, I’ve got three easy suggestions that may help.

1.  Park further away.  It may be your Costanza-like dream to find a spot right in front of your building to insure a quick escape when the working day is done.  But while you circle around for the 5th time, hoping that a space has finally opened up, you could be burning off some of that Mc Muffin with a stroll from the back of the lot.

2.  Drink milk.   Believe it or not, you mom knew what she was talking about.  It really does do a body good.  According to recent studies

obese adults who ate a high-dairy diet lost significantly more weight and fat than those who ate a low-dairy diet containing the same number of calories

3.  Reduce your High Fructose Corn Syrup intake.  You’re likely unaware of just how much of this poison you ingest on a daily basis, but take heed, it’s killing you AND packing on the pounds.  According to research I did for an article on HFCS for my own blog:

The theory goes like this: The body processes the fructose in high fructose corn syrup differently than it does old-fashioned cane or beet sugar, which in turn alters the way metabolic-regulating hormones function. It also forces the liver to kick more fat out into the bloodstream.

The end result is that our bodies are essentially tricked into wanting to eat more and at the same time, we are storing more fat.

So there you have it.  Three simple things even you can do to improve your health and start losing weight right now.
