Enlightened Seduction - The Way of Men & Women Product Review
October 30, 2006 by Glenn

Following on the 10 traits of natural seducers, Zan’s second DVD is about the situation modern-day men and women find themselves in. Specifically, men are confused about how women want them to act. And women have been let down time and again in their relationships with men… because the men are confused.
Zan goes deep into why men are confused and how we got to be in this situation. First, men are no longer needed to fill a “provider” role for women. Women of today have shown they’re quite capable of providing for themselves. If we aren’t needed to provide for women, what role are we to fill?
Second, the women’s equality movement has confused us. Do we open the door for her? Do we pay? Should we wait two days before calling…or was it three? (When all we want to do is call her right now.) Should we be sensitive and considerate, or hard and unemotional?
The whole idea behind the equality movement is for men and women to recognize that they are equal. But somewhere along the way it got warped into the notion that men and women should become the same. The result of the movement is sameness, not equality. That’s the problem.
Also, the traditional father role models are missing in this generation of men. Zan echoes Fight Club when he says,
It used to be that the father passed on wisdom of “how to be a man” to his son. This is no longer so. The result is a generation of men raised by women. One of the fundamental things men are missing today is the very notion of manliness — what it means to be a man. What women are looking for and can’t find.
He covers much more, including…
- What women will always need us for (No, it’s not to have children. Science is taking care of that.)
- The three stages of man’s understanding of women
- The difference between neediness and enthusiastically stating your desire for a woman
As with the first DVD, I found this one to be very eye-opening. It certainly gives a unique explanation of the modern-day dating minefield. The DVD is available for individual purchase or as a four-set from Zan’s Enlightened Seduction website.
Discussion: Men and women out there, does any of this ring true to you?

Male behavior is definitely confused. We’ve cowered under the mise of equality as we’ve diluted our passion.
Glenn- If Zan has such honest intentions, why does he charge $90 per DVD or $250 for the set. It seems a bit ridiculous.
Becca; Why would the honesty of his intentions and his desire to make a living somehow seem mutually exclusive to you?
Making poor men pay $90 per dvd is just silly Cash…admit it and what does that say about how Zan plays on the desperation of confused men?
I don’t understand your assumption that people purchasing Zan’s products are ‘poor’. Do you mean financially or intellectually or…?
I mean socially Cash…
Becca, what price do you put on something that might help a shy guy who’s afraid of interacting with women have a 180 degree reversal in his mindset? Who is supposed to help him with his confused beliefs about men and women? His father? His friends? How successful are they in their relationships and understanding of women?
Also, pricing products and services is one of the classic issues in marketing. Whole books have been dedicated to it. Is $4.00 for some milk and espresso a bit ridiculous? Of course it is, but we pay it. It’s called something like “affordable luxury” in marketing jargon.
on the price, yes it is expensive for a DVD but if the material it contains helps me get out of my hidious comfort zone of inaction I will consider it worth it.
and if I am able to meet a wonan and fall in love because I can meet women, well this dvd is a deal, damm cheap in fact compared to those $1000 weekends
Zan is not the most expensive by far.
and me? I’m a shy construction worker with no inclination to the women I meet at work and meeting online nerfs the whole romantic spirit.
Ok.. Glenn.. I concede
