Eames - Powers of Ten

December 7, 2007 by Greg

Ever since I purchased an Eames DCM (a chair), I have a mildly unhealthy obsession with Charles and Ray Eames.  Not only was the couple significant in their design and architecture, they also made films.  One of which, Powers of Ten, is featured above.  If you recognize the style, it’s because it’s been duplicated all over popular media.

Looking for a christmas gift for me?  Buy me their DVD set.

This is amazing. From a chair to the universe. Great post. Thanks!

I remember seeing that in grade school and the teacher asked the class how they created the movie. I’ve always thought about that film and pondered the question… glad to see it again.
