diy halloween costume / decoration ideas

I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out a suitable costume to wear for some upcoming, out of state Halloween festivities (Vegoose.. here we come).  Since my travelling companions will be dressed to kill as Hunter S. Thompson and Betty Boop respectively, I need something cool.
