Paul… you are doing the same thing as health-freak! Some of us love them (I eat 3 to 4 a day with no problems, and use them all the time as a snack when I need it.)

To each there own! Have a fiber bar with your turkey dinner! It’ll pass through a lot faster !!! HA ha ha!

Healthfreak - do you work for GM or something? Have you actually read all these entries? Obviously these bars have a toxic effect on many, many people and it is not just due to high fiber. It is an insult to have a someone try to categorize it or dismiss the experience this way. Along with many other people writing here, I have eaten pretty much every food on the planet and never, ever had this type of reaction to anything else. Not even close. I don’t know why GM still sells it. At the very least, it should have a warning label on the side of the package to warn individuals from having any toxic experience. Simply gross negligence. They have been warned with sites like this - unfortunately it probably takes a lawsuit to force them to do the appropriate thing.

Also to add if this is not the case, the fiber that is in these fiberone bars is just one type of fiber that a person can take in. some fibers are digested to a greater extent then others for some people. Different sources produce different amounts of gas for people, the better digested fiber produces more gas in a persons body. So for some people this type of fiber may not be the right source and for others this can be the best source.

The reason that people may be experiencing stomach aches from eating these bars could be due to the fact that a person is changing their diet dramatically by introducing more fiber then their body is use to having. It is undoubtly a good thing to have a high fiber diet and this is a convienant way but one has to understand that they can not just dive into a high fiber diet without their body reacting. A suggestion would be to start out eating half a bar a day as a way to slowly adjust.
