colorado parkour

One thing I miss about being a kid is climbing all over the jungle gym at the playground. For some reason, they tend to frown upon grown men doing that. Luckily, there’s Parkour.
“Parkour”
is an activity with the aim of moving from one point to another as efficiently and quickly as possible, using principally the abilities of the human body.[2][3] It is meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment—from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls—and can be practiced in both rural and urban areas.
For those of you in UM’s home state, Colorado Parkour is a group that not only teaches this amazing sport, but acts as a hub for the parkour community as well.
Classes start soon.
For those of you not in Colorado, check out American Parkour for info on groups in your area.
If you’ve never seen Parkour, prepare to be amazed:

Well, think I’ll probably pass on this one, but hey!! Don’t forget to post a video of yourself doing these things.
I spent some late night youtube time looking for people falling when they attempt this. I found lots of good footage and even some from our own colorado peeps.
long time fan of Pakour. first heard about it watching District B13. David Bell is INSANE! didn’t realize there was much of a US following. i’d figure homeland security fears, and stay off my lawn mentalities would kinda curb that more.
It was also featured in the opening of Casino Royale and in Madonna’s video for “Jump.”
This makes my weird dreams of me running with all four limbs less strange. I just wish I could do it.
Jackie Chan was doing this before it was cool. Theo is right. The opening scene in Casino Royale featuring this was pretty cool.
