Just in time for Santa’s arrival; three naturally naughty cocktails to warm up those cold winter nights.
New York Peppermint Patty Cocktail recipe
- 2 oz Skyy® vodka
- 1 oz peppermint schnapps
- 1/2 oz white creme de cacao
Directions:
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve.
Hot Buttered Rum recipe
- 1.5 oz light rum
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp butter
- 4 cloves
Add the sugar, butter and cloves to a coffee mug. Pour the rum, and stir well. Fill with boiling water. Stir again, and serve.
*alternately, order the ‘drink mix’ from Red Ram Mixers , which eliminates the ‘preperation’ entirely
Irish Coffee recipe
- 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 6 oz hot coffee
- heavy cream
Combine whiskey, sugar and coffee in a mug and stir to dissolve. Float cold cream gently on top. Do not mix.

For the Irish Coffee, you also need to whip the cream until about half stiff and then float it over the top of the hot liquid. I’m not sure you can float unwhipped heavy cream…and it’s better when it’s not completely whipped.
What about those of us that live beneath the Equator line? We’ll have a very hot xmas…
