Buying a Flower Vase

August 15, 2006 by Greg

Inspired by cash’s recent post on flowers and romance, I’ve been searching for a bud vase. I had a few criteria: the vase had to be available online, under $50, and express my style.

Here are my 3 favorites.

Transglass Recycled Vase $30.00

Recycled wine glass vases… Wine, romance, I think you see the connection.

Our Transglass collection features glassware vessels made from recycled wine and beer bottles. Sharp lines, clean forms, and original bottle colors express positive attitudes about beautiful design that’s kind to the environment. Manufacturered through Artecnica’s Design With A Conscience program. Available in Polished or Satin finishes, in Green, Clear, or Brown as determined by the artisan.

Mango wood vase, ‘Red Wine’ $34.95

The novica store is a project to give artists from around the world an outlet to sell their products. This vase comes from Saifon, a wood worker in thailand.

This beautiful vase comes from Saifon’s expertise. Shaped of mango wood and tinted a deep red, it features a crackled field of black surrounding the lower portion.
