Be Romantic on a Budget

Zen Habit has a new guide out, 50 Ways to Be Romantic on the Cheap. The guide informs that the primary goal isn’t to save money, it’s to keep a relationship fresh on a regular basis. Cash will be exceptionally fond of the recommendations for weekly dates, although I think it’s assuming you are seeing / talking to your partner more than just one day a week.
My favorites:
- Pack a sunset picnic
- Get good wine, watch shooting stars
- Feed each other grapes

if you can find a drive-in movie theater around that’s always fun.
if it’s snowing or miserable outside show up with shiny new tobogan for her. (or a cocoa sampler, whatever)
walk on the beach and collect seashells
a little misdirection is always fun. tell her you’re going to a movie, and end up at a play instead. ask her to grab a quick bite at a fast food joint and end up at a hole in the wall place (if there’s BYO, even better)
snail mail her just about anything.
All of these are pretty good. I got a kick out of the last one especially:
50. Play Sade. Do what comes naturally. Slowly.
nice suggestions goat
