bar+barbershop= “MR.”

Two Stanford grads have started an upscale barbershop that also features a full bar & lounge. “MR.” had its debut in San Francisco but the two partners hope to spread the concept to other urban hotspots (Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and Chicago) in the future.
Rather than a pay per cut business model, MR. offers monthly memberships that allow for haircuts (& follow up trims) as well as admission to the bar / lounge.
High end grooming outlets for men have been growing in popularity, and given the $25 million / year generated by The Art Of Shaving alone (which has 20 retail stores nationwide) the trend is likely to continue.
Said one satisfied customer:
The haircut’s great, the atmosphere’s great, the conversation’s great, and the people hanging out here are great,” said Kennedy, who joined his friend Gartland for a beer when the haircut was done.

Not that impressed with it. Too much commotion. I didn’t enjoy all the people there while I was getting a cut. Nice looking place though.
