amp - foundations of inner game 1 : arrived for review

I was pleasently surprised to find a copy of the Authentic Man Program’s “Foundations of Inner Game 1: The Power of Presence” in my mailbox for review. The product is a 3 DVD set that breaks “inner game” (i.e. your mindset, belief system, etc) down into three important areas, each given an entire DVD’s worth of examination;
- What is Presence?
- Cultivating Presence?
- Magnetic Attraction
An interesting twist with this product from others we’ve seen? It includes a 90 page downloadable ‘training integration manual’ which helps round out the learning.
A full review will follow but doing a cursory scan of the first DVD was pretty amazing. A favorite part of mine; the portion where they have men approach (without speaking) a duo of girls seated on a couch, and then hear the girls’ ‘experience’ of the man’s arrival. It’s equal parts cringe-inducing and educational. I look forward to soaking up the entire program and reporting back to you.
UPDATE: After a quick perusal of their website, I found they are currently (up until midnight, November 30th) giving this 3 DVD set (along with several other things, apparently a “$505″ value) away free for the cost of shipping. Although I’d recommend using an email account you don’t mind getting spam at (I’m quite certain they’ll be ‘following up’ with you recommending other products in the future), free is still free.

It’s not so much the potential of spam as the automatic $37/ month subscription to their web forum and news letter that one needs to be wary of.
The order page claims the product to be shipped within 3 weeks and the “trial” subscription runs out in 47 days. A rather odd number. Perhaps that is when the average guy forgets about something he signed up for. ;D

I ordered the DVDs anyway, the sociology of this stuff fascinates me nearly as much as it does you. Added an appointment on my gcal to remind me to un-sub from the $37/month web forum, however.
Definitely props to these guys for finding a fresh way to monetize what is starting to be a very crowded section of the dating-game unashamedly masquerading as self-improvement market.
Hopefully the DVDs will contain some actual solutions and examples instead of a never ending series of lead ins and up-sells. ;D
