Paying For Sex

18Dec07
by Greg

Reading about sex and evolutionary biology cleared a lot of things up for me.  One of which was the purpose of prostitution and its effects on both the consumers and the providers.  Quite often a hushed topic among men, a new article investigates who the men are paying for sex and what their motivations are.
The [...]

the bachelor party of doom

17Dec07
by Cash

Everyone in my inner circle knows my thoughts on bachelor parties; when the time for mine comes, bail money better be ready.  I want to redefine the term ‘debauchery’.  This will come as no surprise to my future wife; I’m totally forthcoming about my vices with all the women in my life.
Apparently, some guys arn’t [...]

This past Friday I threw a holiday party with a focus on relaxation.  I hired two massage therapists to come in and give chair massages to my closest friends.  Originally I kept my guest list very tight, but then I figured out a way to double the capacity.  Hire two masseuses for the price of [...]

The main dilemma Greg and I are facing for New Year’s is trying to make up our minds. There are plenty of incredible options in Denver for ringing in 2008. Two in particular that we’re weighing heavily? A live performance by Rabbit In The Moon (do a YouTube search for live [...]

It started with a cryptic email from an old friend. Pop-culture savant, bone dry humorist and lady killing beefcake all in one, Sean’s never failed to deliver the interesting goods. Imagine the intrigue then when this comes down the ol’ Gmail pike:
also, please check out this link, it may be the most important thing [...]

Bear Force One

by Greg

Here are a few lyrics.
Bear Force 1
Bear Force hoo hah hoo hah
Bear Force 1
Give a bit of mmm to me
And I’ll give a bit of mmm to you
Thanks for the link Eric!

Before UM was knee high to a grasshopper, its founding fathers started their own book club. It involved taking turns selecting a book and then meeting once a week to drink beers and discuss it. When it was finally my turn to choose, I selected “Ugly Americans” by Ben Mezrich. I’d fallen in love with [...]

After a few seasons greetings and holiday parties, most everyone is in the mood for a good romp. Why not try the position that was clinically proven to satisfy 75% of it’s samplers?
The lateral coital position is a sex position described by Masters and Johnson in their Human Sexual Response. The position was preferred [...]

Ah, the spirit of Christmas.  It’s always better to give than to receive, and who deserves to receive a gift from me more than well, me?  No one, that’s who.  Which is why I decided to treat myself to Daft Punk’s “Alive 2007″ Limited Edition for Christmas.  I’ve had the torrent for a couple of [...]

Morning Influence

13Dec07
by Greg

I’m constantly improving the way I work and achieve my goals.  My latest experiment is about keeping focus and setting the correct intention.   When I say intention, I’m not promoting the idea of willing something into your life, I’m simply getting things ready and defining a desired outcome or goal.

On the flip side of female footwear I truly detest are the shoes that can light up my whole day.  Or more typically, night.  I’m talking about the kind of shoe that’s completely impractical, possibly hazardous to one’s health, yet positively irresistable to any warm blooded hetero-male in a three block radius.
That’s right boys, the [...]

Who Needs Credit Cards?

12Dec07
by Greg

I don’t really know what to say about this.

If there’s one brand everyone at UM can agree on, it’s Ben Sherman.  Leave it to them to put together a dynamic duo of a gift pack.  Both the stainless steel flask and wallet prominently feature the Union Jack and look incredibly cool.  They’re sure to satisfy the Anglophile and/or hipster (Aka: Me) on everybody’s [...]

friend: best massage i had was from a stripper in vegas
friend: i told her i didn’t want a lap dance
friend: and then she said she would do a massage for $20
friend: so i was like
friend: sweet

The last time we spoke I was tactfully pointing out your mistake during a project meeting at our previous employer.  Your response was to dash out the door in tears, highlighting your professionalism and inspiring a round of raised eyebrows for those of us left in the room.   At the bus stop this morning, I did in fact [...]

I’m currently deep in the mud of planning my first spa themed holiday party.  Instead of the usual egg nog and cookies, I’ve decided to offer those invited a piece of relaxation.  Of all the resources I’ve found online, the DIY network has had the most impact.
The event’s primary focus is creating a spa-like, tranquil [...]

r.i.p: polar bear snuff

It’s not often that the internet pisses me off, but when it does, it REALLY does.  Doing research into over-the-counter stimulants led me to a bizarre discription of perhaps the strangest legal upper ever;

GrandCentral Review

If you somehow managed to not to stumble across it quite yet, GrandCentral is a wonderful tool enabling a single point-of-contact telephone number for your contacts.  I found it via the Four-Hour Workweek and have not looked back!
After you sign up (invite only or by putting yourself on their wait list), you are prompted to [...]

ice kabob swizzle sticks

10Dec07
by Cash

I’m always looking for ways to spice up my home bar, and those wily booze coyotes over @ Liquor Snob have found just the thing. Ice Kabobs are ice cube trays with a slot for a stick.  The cubes freeze onto the stick and can be removed as one ‘kabob’.  Brilliant.  For another bit of [...]

Living downtown I spend plenty of time saying no to panhandlers of every stripe.  Though the stories vary the end result is always the same:  give me money.  I don’t think so.  After dozens (hundreds?) of rebuffs, I’ve come up with what I think is the perfect beggar blowoff:

Eames - Powers of Ten

07Dec07
by Greg

Ever since I purchased an Eames DCM (a chair), I have a mildly unhealthy obsession with Charles and Ray Eames.  Not only was the couple significant in their design and architecture, they also made films.  One of which, Powers of Ten, is featured above.  If you recognize the style, it’s because it’s been duplicated all [...]
