Men Are Better Than Women
August 13, 2007 by Greg · 4 Comments

Despite what some angry ex-girlfriends might say, I am not a misogynist. However, when hilarious websites like this crop up, I have no choice but to share them with our faithful readers. Starting off right at the front page it warns that the fairer sex is not welcome.
First let me say that this is a site by men and for men. That means no women allowed. If you are a woman, at this point I would like to invite you to fuck off. My tone may seem to harsh for your delicate tendencies ladies, but let me assure you that it is for your own protection. There are secret dealings and divulgings here that would most likely confuse you to a point of hysteria, and I will play no part in that.
how to improve your workout in 3 simple steps

I’ve been making a conscious effort to get back into my usual gym routine (5-6 days a week) while simultaneously getting my diet (I’m a disciple of Body for Life) back on track as well.
Being lucky enough to have an older sister who’s a personal trainer has given me some good, easy tips for improving every visit to the gym.
Concert Regime
August 13, 2007 by Greg · 2 Comments

With all the great acts that make their way through Denver I have to filter out the concerts I want to attend. There have been a few shows I’ve regretted missing, and a few shows I’ve regretted seeing, but I’m always back in line getting tickets for the next cool show.

With Greg on a mission to furnish his new home, I came across a cool choice in accent lighting. Considering the fact he’s already pimping a binary clock; more futuristic geek chic stuff seems appropriate.
Paul Graham’s Stuff
August 9, 2007 by Greg · 4 Comments

Since I’ve moved, I’ve been pimping my unnecessary wares craigslist. If it’s taking up room, and I don’t need it, it’s getting a low price tag and going out my door as soon as possible. I’m just one stereo sale away from my own personal heaven of emptiness.
It’s with welcomed timing that accomplished technologist, start-up incubator, and part-time essayist Paul Graham has a new piece about the stuff we have in our lives. I find it particularly amusing to see his analytical techno geekery come to light when talking about how we process the junk in our homes. Read more
the brain in love and lust
August 9, 2007 by Cash · 5 Comments
My recent fascination with all things neurotransmitter (serotonin and dopamine specifically) led me to an interesting article about love (and lust’s) influence on the brain. Some of the quotes in article are quite telling indeed.
Mysteries of the Brain

How does the brain work? I don’t know. Neither do they.

While searching for “Denver electronica” (??!!) I came across a random blog with a solid top three list of (downtown) Denver area coffee shops.
Underworld Crocodile
August 8, 2007 by Greg · 3 Comments

Last night I received a link from Glenn for a stream of the new Underworld single, Crocodile. They are sticking true to form with a very chill one hundred days off feel. I’m now even more excited for their upcoming Denver stop in late september. Read more
orgasm killers

Yahoo health recently featured an article (also based on the book mentioned prior on UM here) talking about orgasm inhibitors for both men and women. This list is somewhat surprising.
Good Questions for Productivity

I’ve been starting my days lately with a blank notepad writing down all the things I want to accomplish. Having just moved, the list has been laden with small tasks like update voter registration, establish energy account, and get can opener. Fighting my way through it, I usually start with one question borrowed from the 4 hour work week.
What is the one thing on this list that would make my day worthwhile if I accomplished it? Read more

Where To Send Broken Products
August 7, 2007 by Greg · 4 Comments

When my digital camera broke beyond repair, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. An article written almost a year ago at lifehacker had given me the instructions.
Rather than just sending your broken stuff to a landfill, pack it up and ship it back to the manufacturer with a letter asking for a new one. You will be amazed by the results. There are no guarantees with this method, but you definitely won’t get a replacement if you throw the product away. This method gets rid of the product just as much as throwing it away does, but it gives a human being at a real company a chance to demonstrate just how much they stand behind their products. You’d be surprised how many will. A squeaky wheel gets oiled. It works, and the trick is all in the letter.

Good gawd. Just when I thought I was digging around to find some hilariously horrible pictures of the world’s wackiest couple; POW! Right in the kisser.
Insults with Class

I like insulting people. It appears as if I’m in good company with angry aussie. He has created a list of insults with wit, grabbing quotes of famous leaders and thinkers. A few of my favorites.

Bjork and Michel Gondry
Youtube, like wikipedia, is a rabbit hole. I start with one video, and twenty minutes later I’m watching hands come out of Michel Gondry’s nose to solve rubik’s cube. In this clip Michel mounts a camera to a spin art machine. After that successful modification, he goes over to Bjork’s apartment and hooks up wires to her hands to control the paint as she plays the piano. That’s the life I want…
next big thing in skin care: wine based face creams

According to the LA Times, Wine’s not just for swishing and swirling anymore. One of the active elements of the grape; resveratrol; is being harvested with the hopes of being one of the most powerful antioxidents on the planet.
