July 10, 2007 by Greg · 5 Comments

We’ve written a fair amount about the 4 hour work week, and now it’s time to put it to the test. Starting next week, we’re assembling a limited group of just 5 people to form an entrepreneurial club to see what we can do to live this life of luxury. Read more

halle berry; hottest over 40

I’ve been in awe of Halle Berry’s body.. er, I mean ‘talent’ ever since her tasty role in Swordfish. I honestly can’t believe she’s 41 years old. According to those wiley cougars over at In Touch Weekly, she’s the hottest of the 40+ bunch.
Do the World a Favor, Have More Sex

The New York Times is reprinting an older article from economist Steven E. Landsburg. The article argues that more sex is safer sex.
Harvard professor Michael Kremer estimates that the spread of AIDS in England could plausibly be retarded if everyone with fewer than about 2.25 partners per year were to take additional partners more frequently. That would apply to three-fourths of all British heterosexuals between the ages of 18 and 45.

indian cinema: anuranan
July 6, 2007 by Cash · 9 Comments

One of my goals for the year is to check out more foreign films. I’ve long been a fan of French, Spanish and Italian offerings, and now I’m turning my attention towards India (Bollywood actresses.. meow). A new film called “Anuranan” has caught my eye, and sounds like an interesting look at two transplanted Indian couples living in London.
The Times of India’s description of the themes in the movie are quite poetic in their own right:
one thing i love: american apparel
July 6, 2007 by Cash · 3 Comments
Last Saturday afternoon, while enjoying a drunken stumble through beautiful Downtown Denver I found myself outside the American Apparel store on 15th. Hypnotized by the vibrant colors and tiny-underwear clad hipster girl in the window, I had not choice but to venture inside.

Drink More Water
July 5, 2007 by Greg · 3 Comments

When I’m working in an office, I drink more than enough water. My 32 ounce plastic water bottle is an essential item that I take with me to every job. I drink at least two to three refills daily, easily earning my quota. However, be it the weekends or vacations, when I’m not working my hydration level suffers. Read more

Longtime UM friend and uber-bartender Zach doesn’t have any trouble ahem, ‘making time’ with the ladies. If his million dollar smile or razor sharp wit should ever fail him though, he can always fall back on his recipe for the perfect panty peeler: the passionata mojito.
How to Start Conversations
July 5, 2007 by Greg · 3 Comments

A few years ago I decided to start talking to more people. After a lot of reading and experimenting I’ve picked up a few tricks. It’s not uncommon for one of my shier friends to ask for advice on how to make small talk. Now, thanks to lifehack, I’ve got a good resource to point them to. Read more

Get More Energy

Neil Strauss ends his forward to The Mystery Method with… “Welcome to your new lifestyle. Are you tired yet?” Apparently pickup artists aren’t the only ones feeling a little sleepy.
Every day, 2.2 million Americans complain of being tired. Most of us chalk it up to having too much to do and not enough time to do it in, especially during extra-busy periods. But often the true culprits are our everyday habits: what we eat, how we sleep, and how we cope emotionally. Read on for some simple, recharging changes that can help you tackle all of the energy stealers in your life.

axbo sleep phase alarm clock review
July 2, 2007 by Cash · 2 Comments
Sex appeal and simplicity. Two of my favorite things. In the land of consumer products (especially those designed in the U.S.A.), they’re often mutually exclusive traits. Thank the artistic Austrians then for bringing us the aXbo sleepphase alarm clock (S.P.A.C); a perfect blend of both.
Social Dancing - Part of an Active Lifestyle, Not a Workout
July 2, 2007 by Greg · 2 Comments

Last week I decided to wear my heart rate monitor as I practiced salsa steps. Dancing is an activity that I enjoy doing, so I wanted to investigate the level of its effectiveness. After 30 minutes of an intense, fitness targeted salsa footwork DVD my heart rate hovered around 110 bpm. Apparently dancing isn’t the work out I thought it was. Read more
poll: transformers
July 2, 2007 by Cash · 4 Comments
Since (at least) two of our UM staff (past and present) will be in line tonight for the midnight showing of Transformers (dorks!), I thought I’d pose the age old question: Autobots or Decepticons? I’ve always been a fan of the Decepticons. For one thing, their logo was cooler, and most of them could fly. For another thing, Megatron is a bad ass. Take that, Bumblebee.
How about you?
